Virtual Trip to the Rhodopes

through music and dance

with Bianca de Jong

The pandemic may officially be considered finished, but that does not mean that the fun we share with far-flung friends via Zoom has to end! Coming to us live from her home in The Netherlands, Bianca will revisit the Rhodopes region of Bulgaria where she toured, danced, and made a music recording with local musicians back in 1983! Come, let's dance down Memory Lane together and enjoy stories and music that never grow old!

Labor Day Weekend at Pinewoods

Summer is just around the corner, and, while Labor Day may seem ages away, its momentum is unstoppable! That’s right, our “sayonara summer” session is jam-packed with talent beyond compare, featuring the magical melodies played by the brilliant musical abilities of Audrey Jaber, Vince O’Donnell, Alex Cumming, Ben Jaber, McKinley James, Debby Knight, Jean Monroe, Julia Poirier, David Rosen, Brian Wilson, and Patrick Yacono. Their music will be underscoring the tremendous teaching of our energetic leaders Sue Rosen (American), Bruce Hamilton (English), and Marcie Van Cleave (International).

Registration has been filling up fast (well over two-thirds full!) but there are still slots open – so don’t wait to claim your spot. This is the perfect way to close out the season – with music and dancing and good times galore, all nestled between the pines and ponds. Sign up now, then kick back and enjoy the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend, knowing that your Labor Day Weekend plans are all set!

Registration details are here.

From the Executive Director

SPRING INTO SUMMER!

Memorial Day Weekend, it draws ever nigh.

The official start of summer, and do I feel spry!

Such plans I have made - mow the weeds, pick the lawn.

Soak up vitamin D with sun we can count on

To dispel the sodden spring with its gray clouds and cold -

Believe you me, missy, that weather quickly got old.

The flowers, they're blooming, on hill, dale, and dresses.

Each burst of spring color reduces many life stresses.

I'll endeavor to savor whatever undertaking I choose,

And with weather like this, there is no way to lose

The inexplicable euphoria wrapping us in warm hugs.

I hope you take time to simply enjoy and unplug.
