About the Program
We have invited Vera back to tell us about another Ukrainian tradition: embroidered wedding towels. In this illustrated talk, Vera relates the history and symbolism of these towels, both from ancient times and those being made now. She also shows us the various stitch techniques and opens our eyes to the meaning of the symbols used in the patterns.
