Film Showing and Dance Party

8pm • June 29 • Belmont, MA and online

We invite everyone to join us this Saturday for a very special presentation -- either in person or online. Shoo away those post-Pinewoods blues with the fabulous film "My Borrowed Heritage" followed by a dance party with live music. We are also excited to spend time with Efie Derksen, her father Hans Derksen, and enjoy the fabulous music of the Flying Squirrel Orchestra. We hope you will join us!

Donations to the refreshment table are always welcome. Online admission is available in the shop.

Efie and her father collaborated on making a documentary in the Balkans called My Borrowed Heritage, which has been shown in Europe (to great acclaim!), but not here in the US -- until now!

Efie and Hans will be available for Q&A after the film.

The film will be followed by a dance party (of course!) featuring live music by the The Flying Squirrel Orchestra.

This evening is sure to be delightful, and we look forward to all of you getting to meet Efie and Hans, whether online or in-person!

Summer Dancing

Many of our dance series are taking a well deserved break for the summer, but we have plenty of events to keep us moving. After a short break for the Independence Day holiday, our summer dance schedule starts July 9!

Dancing on The Greenway:

English Ceilidh with Alex Cumming & Friends

7pm • July 9 • Boston, MA

Our second year of summer outdoor dances on the Greenway is starting off strong with an English Ceilidh, led by Alex Cumming, accompanied by Donal Sheets and Laurel Swift. This series is free to all, so come join us for an evening of exciting dances and rousing tunes. Dances will be every Tuesday in July and August, and will include a variety of dance styles, including contra, international, Cajun/Zydeco, Scottish Ceilidh, and Bal Folk.

Thursday Night Folk Dancing

8pm • July 11 • Arlington, MA

Thursday Night Folk Dancing will return on July 11 to keep us moving and review our favorite dances from camp as well as classics from the regular repertoire. Requests are always welcome!
