This Week's Dances

Thursday Night Dance

Reviews: Melnisko and Tinka

Our programmers for Thursday May 4 will be Meyer and Laura Billmers. Meyer will review Melnisko, a beautiful Bulgarian dance from the Pirin region originally taught by Tineke Van Geel, and Paula Rosenstock will review Tinka, a Macedonian dance by Steve Kotansky.

Did you know there are three (!!!) dances with names similar to Melnisko? Jeanne Clifford recently reviewed a different Melnisko, taught by Yves Moreau and Michael Ginsburg, as well as a similar dance called Melnik, introduced by Jaap Leegwater. It's fun to try to keep all of this straight!

Romanian Night

at the Friday Night Dance

with Tom Pixton and Friends

The Friday Night Dance is excited to be hosting the return of our annual all-Romanian teaching and request program on May 5!

The evening will feature dance leader Marcie Van Cleave, alongside fabulous music by the ever-popular Tom Pixton and Friends. We hope to see you in Arlington at this fun evening!

Mostly Waltz Special Event

We invite you to a special afternoon of three cross-step waltz workshops, followed by open dancing, in Concord on May 7 (11am - 5pm). Classes will be led by Susan de Guardiola, dance teacher and historian from New Haven, CT. Visit the event page to read more and register!

Cut a Rug

Dance along with Marcie Van Cleave this Sunday afternoon, May 7, while enjoying some International dance favorites.

And as Marcie says "I hope to see you this afternoon - but if you can't make it, whatever you do - do it with gusto!"

Labor Day Dance and Music Weekend

Dance party at C Sharp on Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend registration is well underway, but we still have room for more! There's no better way to end your summer on a high note (played by our talented musicians!) than dancing among the pines, relaxing by the ponds, and spending time with the community. It truly is the perfect capstone to the season.

If you're already signed up, we're excited to have you! You can help spread the word by sharing with friends. And if you haven't signed up yet, now's the perfect time!

Details and registration here.
