Return of SOFA (Some Other Folk Arts)

The FAC 50th Anniversary Committee is excited to announce the return of SOFA, the Folk Arts Center’s live, virtual, mostly pandemic-era, non-dance programming which explores various folk arts and traditions from, well, around the world.

The FAC Online Flipbook

The Online Flipbook, a collection of memories of FAC members and events through photos, videos, and music, will be available to everyone to enjoy learning about the history and reminiscences of this wonderful community.

Strategic Plan for the Future of FAC

The FAC Board of Birectors will present the FAC Strategic Plan. The date and time will be announced in the near future.

The Village Table Potluck: Saturday, July 26, 2025

The Village Table cookbook, published in 2012, was a very successful fund-raiser for the Folk Arts Center. In the process of its publication, many individuals contributed and tested recipes. These recipes, along with the stories which accompanied them, are now cherished by members of the FAC community. The cookbook is available for purchase in our shop.

As part of the FAC's 50^th anniversary festivities there will be an outdoor potluck party (featuring recipes from the cookbook) at the home of Jeanne and Ralph Clifford on Saturday, July 26, 2025 (rain date of Sunday, July 27). Details are still being finalized, but we look forward to an afternoon of delicious food, camaraderie, and fun stories about the production of this cookbook.

FAC Anniversary Gala

Previously an annual fundraiser, the FAC Benefit Gala is a party with a purpose as well as an evening of food, music, dancing, and shopping. Plans are still being worked on, but we can tell you now that there will be appetizers and desserts, beer and wine, a silent auction, live music for dancing, and some performances to liven up the hall. The Gala Committee looks forward to sharing the details of this special event which provides significant financial support to FAC!
