About the Series

In order to properly celebrate the Folk Arts Center as it reaches its 50th year of incorporation we are planning a mini-series of SOFA-type virtual events, spread over the course of 2025. These will explore FAC’s history, its past and ongoing programming, the special people who made the organization what it is, and more.

January 15: Origin Story of The Folk Arts Center

The formation of the Folk Arts Center of New England will be explored through the Taylors’ history and the events and organizations that shaped the founding of the FAC. (video is available in our Music Shop)

March 19: Community at the Core of the Folk Arts Center

The supportive communities and relationships built over the Folk Arts Center’s first half century, with their focus on welcoming people of all backgrounds and levels of dance prowess. We will share tales of the FAC’s spiritual and earth Angels as well as stories of the healing power of folks dancing and hanging together.
