Visit friends and family attending the camp, explore the island, and enjoy a concert and jam session on Boston Harbor Scottish Fiddle School’s Visitors’ Day. All are invited to spend this delightful afternoon/evening on Thompson Island. The fee covers round-trip ferry service, music sessions, and a hamburger/hotdog/chicken or vegetarian burger dinner al fresco with cash bar.
Visitors take the 2:30 pm ferry from the Thompson Island dock in South Boston (near Summer Street, South Station, and the Design Center), arriving at the island at 2:55 pm. Parking is available near the South Boston dock. The last ferry back leaves the island at 9 pm, arriving in South Boston at 9:25 pm.
Visitors must register with the Folk Arts Center and pay in advance before camp begins. The Visitors’ Day 2010 application form is available for download as a printable PDF.
