Oktoberfest

About Oktoberfest 2010 | Staff | Registration | Hulbert Outdoor Center

The 50th annual Oktoberfest international folk dance and music weekend:
October 8–11, 2010, Friday–Monday

at Hulbert Outdoor Center, Fairlee, Vermont

featuring

Ahmet Lüleci teaching Turkish dance

Susan de Guardiola teaching waltz styles

Julia Poirier leading singing workshops

Andy Taylor-Blenis leading yodeling workshops
and music by The Pinewoods Band, directed by Tom Pixton

FAC’s Oktoberfest weekend features folk dance and music workshops, evening folk dance parties, and late-night after-parties in addition to beautiful autumn foliage by Lake Morey, cozy ambience, good food, and comfortable cabins.

Beginners, singles, and families are welcome at Oktoberfest

Though the teaching is geared to adult dancers, children over age 8 may participate in the dance workshops. All children are welcome at the evening parties. Participants who bring children are responsible for the safety and behavior of their children at all times at Oktoberfest.

Choose full-time or part-time participation options

Full-time Oktoberfest campers may register for lodging, meals, and activities. If you do not plan to stay overnight at Hulbert, you may join us full-time just for meals and activities. See the Registration page for the 2010 full-time form and fees.

Alternatively, you may attend Oktoberfest part-time, joining us for meals, workshops, and parties as you choose. The 2010 schedule and the driving directions are available online. We encourage part-timers to register in advance for activities. (Meals for part-timers require advance registration.) Part-time fees will be listed on the 2010 part-time registration form, which will be posted soon.
