Payson Park Congregational Church

FAC’s dance space in the parish hall of the Payson Park Congregational Church is located at 365 Belmont Street, Belmont, MA. The church, a light brown stone building with a tower, is across the street from the Oakley Country Club. Enter the church building by the front door on the left. Parking is available on nearby streets.
If you are coming by public transportation from Harvard Square:
Take the #73 bus for Waverly Square via Mount Auburn Street and Belmont Street. Payson Park Church is on the right side of Belmont Street opposite the golf course, four blocks after the traffic lights for the School Street intersection. Get off at the stop on the near corner of Payson Road. The church is on the far corner of Payson Road.
If you are driving from Route 128 (I-95):
Take the Trapelo Road/Belmont exit. Go east on Trapelo for about 5.5 miles total, through Waverly Square at 4 miles and Cushing Square at 5 miles. A few blocks after the intersection with Common Street in Cushing Square, Trapelo Road becomes Belmont Street, which joins on the right at a traffic light. Continue straight ahead for a few blocks. On the right is the Oakley Country Club. Payson Park Church is on the left opposite the golf course, at the corner of Belmont Street and Payson Road.
From the Mass. Turnpike (I-90):
Heading east on I-90 from I-95: Get off the Pike at Exit 17 to Newton/Watertown. At the next traffic light, the ramp becomes Centre Street, which joins on the right. Follow Centre Street straight ahead for a short distance, then left across the Pike, then straight towards Watertown on Centre Street. Continue on Centre Street as described below.
Heading west on I-90 from Boston: Get off the Pike at Exit 17 to Newton/Watertown. At the traffic light, turn right towards Watertown on Centre Street.
Continue on Centre Street, which becomes Galen Street in Watertown. As soon as you cross the bridge into Watertown Square, get into the second-from-the-right lane, then at the traffic light go straight onto Mount Auburn Street. Go east toward Cambridge for 1.1 miles. At the fifth traffic light, where the orange brick Armenian Cultural Center is on the far right, turn left onto School Street and go 1.5 miles. At the next light, turn left onto Belmont Street and go almost four blocks. Payson Park Church is on the right opposite the golf course, at the corner of Belmont Street and Payson Road.
From Watertown Square via Mount Auburn Street (Route 16):
Go east toward Cambridge for 1.1 miles. At the fifth traffic light, where the orange brick Armenian Cultural Center is on the far right, turn left onto School Street and go 1.5 miles. At the next light, turn left onto Belmont Street and go almost four blocks. Payson Park Church is on the right opposite the golf course, at the corner of Belmont Street and Payson Road.
From Belmont Center:
From the downtown Belmont area, go south on Leonard Street. After going under the railroad bridge, turn right onto Common Street, then keep left. At the next traffic light, turn left onto School Street and go 1.4 miles. At the next traffic light, turn right onto Belmont Street and go four blocks. Payson Park Church is on the right opposite the golf course, at the corner of Belmont Street and Payson Road.
From Harvard Square via Mount Auburn Street:
Go west on Mount Auburn Street. Pass Mount Auburn Hospital and Mount Auburn Cemetery on the left. Pass Star Market on the right. At the traffic light after Star Market, turn right onto Belmont Street and go about .7 mile, past two intersections with traffic lights. Four blocks after the second light, Payson Park Church is on the right opposite the golf course, at the corner of Belmont Street and Payson Road.
From Medford Square via Route 16:
Follow Route 16 West as it changes from Mystic Valley Parkway to Alewife Brook Parkway to Fresh Pond Parkway. After passing the Fresh Pond Recreation Area, staying on Route 16, turn right at the traffic light onto Huron Avenue. Keep left on Huron Avenue for .02 mile, then, still following Route 16 West, turn left at the next traffic light onto Aberdeen Avenue, which ends at Mount Auburn Street. Again, follow Route 16 West as it goes right onto Mount Auburn Street. After about two blocks, pass Star Market on the right. At the traffic light after Star Market, turn right onto Belmont Street and go about .7 mile, past two intersections with traffic lights. Four blocks after the second light, Payson Park Church is on the right opposite the golf course, at the corner of Belmont Street and Payson Road.
From Boston via Storrow Drive West:
Follow signs for Newton/Arlington. Pass Boston University on the left. The name “Storrow Drive” changes to “Soldiers Field Road.” After passing the exit for Harvard Square/Cambridge, keep right and then bear right into the exit for Arlington/Fresh Pond Parkway. Keep right while crossing the Eliot Bridge and follow the road toward the right, then immediately bear slightly left toward the traffic lights ahead (do NOT turn right onto Memorial Drive East). At the second light, bear left onto Mount Auburn Street and go .5 miles. At the traffic light after Star Market, turn right onto Belmont Street and go about .7 miles, past two intersections with traffic lights. Four blocks after the second light, Payson Park Church is on the right opposite the golf course, at the corner of Belmont Street and Payson Road.
