FAC office

FAC’s office in Stoneham, MA is the administrative headquarters for FAC programs and services. The office staff is experienced at making referrals for educational and community folk dance programs. Office hours are usually from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday; call 781-438-4387. FAC’s FolkFone at 781-438-4389 provides an up-to-date recorded message that lists current Boston-area folk dance events and cancellations.

Conflict Calendar

The FAC office maintains a master schedule of regional folk dance community events for several years ahead. Area folk events sponsors are encouraged to consult the Conflict Calendar by contacting the office when planning special events.

Dance syllabi and recorded music archives

The FAC office houses an organized collection of thousands of folk dance syllabi, sorted by name of dance, formation, nationality, global region, and teacher. FAC also has a large assortment of folk dance records and cassettes not yet catalogued.

Little Shop of Horas® music store

FAC’s retail music shop is available at the office, by mail and phone, online, and on the road at various folk events. FAC offers a large inventory of traditional music on compact discs, cassettes, and records. The shop also stocks sheet music, dance syllabi, and books. The Little Shop of Horas® web pages include a partial listing of our CD selection, categorized by nationality or type of dance.

Email listings

The FAC office and the coordinators of our weekly dances maintain free email lists to notify interested dancers about FAC events and cancellations. Email FAC to have your name added to the office email list.
